I enjoyed walking to the nearby West End Beach, which is less than a 5-minute walk, and exploring the charming Historic Downtown Truckee, just about 3 km away, making my stay a delightful exploration of the area.

Staying at Donner Lake Village felt like I found a hidden gem in the U.S. The location right by the lake and the charming decor enhanced our experience. A minor hiccup with some utensils missed didn’t overshadow the overall enjoyment. Highly recommend for a delightful stay!

The views from the room over the lake were absolutely breathtaking, especially at sunrise. I loved having a fully equipped kitchen—it felt like home, and we made some amazing meals together! The property is pristine and peaceful, making it the perfect retreat for relaxation.

i stayed with my family for 2 nights and it was amazing. the location was perfect, right by the lake, allowing us to enjoy beautiful views and relaxing moments. the amenities exceeded my expectations, especially the well-equipped kitchen and comfy living area.

Stunning views right by the lake and easy access to canoeing and fishing. Had issues with thin walls. noise from upstairs guests was frustrating at night.

The local eats are a real feast! We stumbled upon some incredible Japanese spots nearby that had us slurping up ramen like pros. Plus, the room itself was neat and clean, and the sauna next door was a hot cherry on top. Beautiful views from our room added to the vibe!

I stayed here recently for two nights with my kids. The location was fantastic, right by the lake. The room itself had everything we needed, especially the well-equipped kitchen. Cooking breakfast felt like a breeze, and the cleanliness of the bathroom impressed me. The sauna across the hall was a lovely bonus after a long day out. However, we had some trouble with check-in. they promised to call when our room was ready but never did. Also, the sliding door faced a broken balcony, making it feel a bit unsafe with young kids around. It would’ve been helpful to have utensils for leftovers in the room, too. But despite these issues, we had a good time and overall enjoyed our stay.
